Week 14 results

Even after 2 losses this week Brad is still cruising comfortably. Zach and I have to hope for a Steelers / Falcons Super Bowl... or I can hope for a rematch of the 1975 Vikings / Steelers Super Bowl.

I also found myself harboring some pent-up feelings about not picking the Rams this year so here is my theraputic release of that shame...

Ode to the 2017 Rams

Oh Rams, where were you in 2016? If only you had shown a glimmer of hope I may have picked you in 2017.

But alas, you were like a rogue clad in shadow; invisible, vapid. Seemingly nowhere. Yet there you were, hiding behind the ineptitude of a coach known for mediocrity, harnessed by Jeff. He stole your strength. He siphoned your power. He denied your very existence. Jeff was your bane until Mr. Eric Dickerson, the Mustang, the Colt, the gazelle of the Rams franchise, alerted the world and challenged your authority. He aimed the sun on your dark and evil methods, your undermining ways. Your silence, Jeff, is welcome. Your firing a relief.

Hip, hip hooray to Sean McVay! He swooped in to L.A. to save the day. He unloosed the bonds of patchy offense, he made a seemingly pitiful guffaw at QB into a victorious Goff at QB. He turned around the next great Rams Running Back and elevated his game from girlesque to Gurley. He unshackled the daunting Rams D and set them forth upon the league like a hungry Rottweiler in a squirrel cage. He wisely made the son of a Bum his rich accomplice. He took and old Fassel and gave him new life.  

Now, oh mighty Rams, you are at the top of your game. Your true rivals are few. Your well-rounded shape resembles my belly. Your uniquely coiled moniker is fitting once again as you climb to new heigths. Your aptitude for putting points on the board is the antithesis of your former coach. It mocks him with jeers and laughs in his direction.

But alas, yes again with the alas, you went under my radar and gone is my chance to beat Brad, vanished is my dream of crushing his winning streak. So I will fall back on my happy excuse, my (satis)factory seconds. The Vikings are currently on top of the NFC! The push for the Super Bowl home field advantage is alive and well. The Case of a healthy QB in Minnesota is solved. A WaxFL championship means less and less as the Vikings continue their dominance. I would rather have the Lombardy trophy.

So while I may secretly, nay, even openly, yearn to have picked you and admire you from afar, oh head-butters of mountainous lore, you are no match for a Viking, no substitute for the team of my youth, the pillagers of the Northlands. Well done L.A., nice job Rams, but…. Go Vikings!

Week 9 Results

Results from Week 9 are posted below.
Aaron had a rough week with the Bills loss and zero points overall.
Bummer game for the Seahawks too (Walsh likes to mess up my favorite teams).
Zach is still in the lead thanks to his mighty Eagles. Can they be stopped?

Week 8 Results

Week 8 results are in! Zach just keeps on rolling ahead of us all... but watch out for Brad, he's a sneaky one!

Week 7 Results

It's always a good week when the Vikings win. Everson Griffin has a sack in each game so far this year. Latavius Murray looked to be back in 2015 form. Case Keenum is playing like a gifted team leader. Keep up the good work Vikings!

In order to prevent bye-week bias, I added a new stat: Per Game Average.
At 1st glance it may appear that Brad is ahead of Jakki, however, a review of the Per Game Average reveals that Jakki is actually on-trend to surpass Brad (she just needs to catch up to the number of games he's played).
